I know that just seeing this title scared some of you – the thought of being unplugged for even a short period of time feels upsetting or anxiety-provoking. That’s the very reason it would be good for you – it’s new, it feels uncomfortable, and there are so many benefits when you choose to Unplug Now.

Being plugged in to your phone, ipad, computer or some other electronic device is a wonderful advantage we enjoy as part of the modern world. But it can also be distracting, decrease your ability to concentrate, and exhaust you more than you notice. In addition, I promise you that many people in your life would appreciate more attention and listening from you, rather than seeing you looking down at one of your devices. They deserve true listening and engagement (and so do you).

What if you could choose to Unplug Now for just a short period of time. I know that some of you already do that, so how about making it for a longer period of time… What would you do instead? Be quiet, reflect, and thoughtfully identify what you’re feeling rather than covering it up with distraction.

If you are plugged in all the time, you can’t hear the inner messages that are trying to get through to you from your intuition. Inner guidance gets blocked and covered up by the static coming from emails, texts and facebook messages.

So how about you make a commitment to Unplug Now – today, and tomorrow, and for the rest of the summer! Do this for periods of time that will allow you to meditate, to contemplate, to feel your feelings, and to visualize the success you want in your life!

Many of my clients and friends aren’t even aware that they are plugged in, checking, or interacting electronically ALL DAY LONG without a break. The distraction isn’t good for our brains, much less our ability to check in with our intuition.

Choose to Unplug Now and enjoy renewing the connection with yourself, with spirit, with inner guidance and with your emotions. You deserve to enjoy feeling peaceful and centered, and you will be better able to attract much more abundance.

I invite you to step into your power by committing to Unplug Now. Your life will feel more graceful and easy, and more abundance will show up for you through a variety of channels.

While tapping the karate chop spot on either hand, repeat these first phrases out loud, (or change the words to fit your exact situation). Then proceed to the additional phrases while tapping on the indicated points. (If you are new to EFT, please view information and directions.)

The EFT SETUP Phrases for this topic are as follows:

“Even though I’m afraid to unplug, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.”

“Even though I think I’m going to miss something if I unplug, I deeply love and accept myself.”

“Even though I feel safer when I’m plugged in, I accept and appreciate all my feelings.”

I have indicated where to tap while saying each of the phrases below. You may repeat the positive round more than once if you wish.

Side of Eye: “I’m not sure how being unplugged will feel.”

Under Eye: “I don’t think I’ve ever been unplugged before!”

Nose: “I don’t know if it’s good for me to be unplugged.”

Chin: “I feel better and safer when I’m plugged in…”

Collarbone: “I’m not sure why I should Unplug Now anyway…”

Under Arm: “I definitely want the benefits if there are any…”

Head: “But I’m afraid to Unplug Now.

***Now for the positive focus on the solution***

Eyebrow: “I want to want to Unplug Now.”

Side of Eye: “I choose to release my fear of being unplugged.”

Under Eye: “I understand that I deserve some peace and quiet.”

Nose: “I feel inspired to Unplug Now.”

Chin: “I want to feel inspired to Unplug Now.

Collarbone: “I’m inspired to take a break for a change.”

Under Arm: “I can’t wait to enjoy being unplugged…”

Head: “I choose to Unplug Now.”
