Our “weight” issues are either internal, external, or both. We know that if you are carrying external physical weight, you are definitely carrying around internal emotional “weight.” The emotional weight we are holding onto is what keeps the physical weight on our bodies.
So what is the emotional weight that you are carrying around internally, even if it shows up on you externally?
- Anxiety?
- Grief
- Shame?
- Fear?
- Guilt?
- Anger?
- Resentment?
If you’re human, you’ve experienced every emotion in the book. Depending on which family you grew up in, you learned lessons about when, why and how you could express these emotions safely, or that you should avoid expressing them if you wanted to stay safe.
A client said to me after our special webinar “my weight is worry” and another one wrote and said “my internal weight is my guilt, and it’s so heavy.” Someone else said “My anxiety is weighing me down…”
Exactly.
Emotional weight is heavy.
So whether you are carrying around more pounds than you want, or whether you’re just carrying around heavy emotional conflicts, there are multiple benefits of releasing both.
I invite you to try these Tapping suggestions below. As usual, change the wording to fit your situation.
Side of Hand: Even though I’m carrying around all this internal emotional weight, I deeply and completely love and accept myself anyway… Even though I’m carrying around all this internal weight, I appreciate why I haven’t let it go yet…Even though all this internal emotional weight is making me hold onto the external weight, I appreciate myself anyway.
Eyebrow: I’m carrying so much internal weight
Side of Eye: It feels so heavy
Under Eye: All this internal emotional weight
Nose: All this emotional weight
Chin: It’s weighing me down
Collarbone: I feel so heavy
Under Arm: My emotions are so heavy
Head: I feel so heavy
Take a deep breath, and use these Tapping sequences below:
Eyebrow: My internal weight is showing up externally
Side of Eye: I’m afraid of my emotional weight
Under Eye: My internal weight is so heavy
Nose: I want to release this emotional weight
Chin: I want to let go of some of these conflicts
Collarbone: I know they’re showing up on my body
Under Arm: My internal weight is so heavy
Head: What if I released some of it now?
Deep breath… and continue Tapping.
Eyebrow: I choose to release some internal weight
Side of Eye: I choose to validate my emotions and let them go
Under Eye: I like being validated
Nose: It feels good to admit these deep feelings
Chin: I choose to let them go with ease and grace
Collarbone: I appreciate who I am and how I feel
Under Arm: I appreciate all my internal weight
Head: I choose to release these emotional conflicts
Take another deep breath…
Go ahead and insert the most dominant emotion you think you are carrying around internally, and continue releasing these conflicts.
Enjoy!
