Were you always compared to someone else?
Maybe it was a sibling, cousin, classmate, teammate, or coworker. A parent, teacher, coach, boss, or another important person kept pointing to what someone else had done and left you with the feeling, "I can never measure up."
Being compared can leave hurt, shame, resentment, discouragement, or the feeling that you could never win. There is always somebody ahead. Over time, that comparison can become a belief: "Nothing I do is ever good enough."
Then the old comparison starts following you into your present work. You may dismiss something excellent because another person has more success, more money, more attention, or is further along. Their progress becomes the measurement of your worth, and your own work never gets to stand on its own.
With EFT Tapping, begin with one specific comparison. Who compared you? Who were you compared with? What was said, and what did you feel in your body? Measure the intensity from zero to 10. Work gently with the hurt, defeat, shame, or resentment before moving to the belief: "I'm convinced I'll never measure up."
What if that is a belief you learned rather than a fact about you? You may have learned to compare yourself the way they compared you, but you do not have to keep using someone else's path as your measuring stick.
Your next yes is to choose one thing you have done, personally or professionally, and let it stand alone. Notice its value, the effort you gave it, and what you appreciate about it without adding another person's name or result.
The rewire is from "Their success proves that I fall short" to "Their path is not the measurement of my worth. I can appreciate what I do and let my own progress count."
Tap with me and notice what changes when your work no longer has to compete with someone else's life.
