Does everything have to be perfect before you can send it, share it, or let anyone else see it?

Perfectionism may look like high standards, but it is often a symptom of something deeper. If an email, proposal, idea, project, or part of your home is not just right, you may feel anxious, exposed, or afraid of what someone will think.

The hidden block underneath that behavior may be the belief that you are not enough and never will be. If the work is imperfect, someone might judge you, criticize you, or discover the imperfections you have been trying so hard to hide.

No wonder you go back and forth and around and around. No wonder nothing ever feels ready enough.

I want you to imagine sending or sharing something before it feels perfect. Notice what happens in your body. How anxious do you feel from zero to ten? What are you afraid the imperfect result would say about you?

This is where EFT Tapping can help. Instead of forcing yourself to stop being a perfectionist, you can work with the anxiety, the fear of being exposed, and the belief that you will never be good enough.

Then ask, "What is my next yes?" It might be sending an email without changing it five more times, sharing an idea before you have perfected it in your mind, or letting one small thing be good enough for today.

Choose something small enough that it does not send you into panic. The goal is not to become careless. It is to discover that your worth does not depend on making everything perfect.

The rewire is from "If it is not perfect, they will see that I am not enough" to "What if who I am and what I do are enough already?"

Tap with me and notice what begins to loosen when perfection is no longer the price of letting yourself be seen.
