Are you feeling overwhelmed again?

Maybe you have too many projects, favors, invitations, and commitments on your plate. You keep saying yes, and before you know it, you are exhausted, over-busy, and possibly on the verge of burnout.

Overwhelm is the symptom. The hidden block underneath it may be fear of missing out.

When saying no makes you anxious, every opportunity can feel important. You may be afraid you will miss your chance, lose something valuable, or regret not being included. That fear can become a belief: "If I say no, it will be bad for me."

No wonder you keep saying yes.

This is different from feeling guilty because someone may be disappointed. Here, the fear is that saying no will cost you something. The more convinced you are that you cannot miss anything, the harder it becomes to prioritize, and the more overwhelmed you feel.

Think of one invitation, project, or request you would like to decline. Notice the anxiety that comes up when you imagine saying no. What are you afraid you will miss? What do you believe will happen to you?

EFT Tapping can help you work with both the fear and the belief beneath it. You do not need to say no to everything or turn down the biggest opportunity in front of you. Start with one smaller choice and notice what your system expects.

Your next yes may be saying no to one thing that does not belong on your plate.

The rewire is from "I have to say yes or I will miss my chance" to "I can choose what matters, say no when something is not right for me, and create more balance in my life."

Choose one small no, tap on the fear it brings up, and notice whether a little more space begins to return.
