Is your self-worth tied to your bank balance?
What does money mean to you? Does it mean power, respect, freedom, joy, or proof that you are successful? Notice what happens when you look at your bank account. Do you make the conclusion, "If I have a lot, I'm worth a lot. If I don't have enough, I'm not worth very much"?
You may have learned this connection from your family or from society. You may have seen how people with money are treated and decided that the amount you have determines how valuable you are. When that belief is strong, a financial challenge can quickly become shame, inadequacy, or the painful feeling that you are not enough.
EFT Tapping can help you separate your financial worth from your self-worth. Measure the feeling "I am inadequate because I don't have enough" from zero to 10. Then notice how true this belief feels: "My self-worth is determined by my net worth and my bank balance." You may know exactly where you learned it, but you do not have to keep buying into it.
Your finances still deserve honest attention and thoughtful action. Separating money from your value does not mean ignoring debt, spending, income, or savings. It means those numbers can give you information without becoming a verdict on who you are.
When shame is in charge, you may reach for things, spend to feel better, or try to fit with people and places that are not right for you. Your next yes is to make one financial decision from a place of self-esteem and stability instead of inadequacy.
The rewire is from "My bank balance tells me what I am worth" to "My bank balance is information, not my identity. I can value myself and make a stable financial decision."
Tap along and notice what changes when your net worth no longer gets to define your self-worth.
