It’s that time of the year again – my favorite holiday in the USA, Thanksgiving, is this week.  I love Thanksgiving because I have so many wonderful memories of this holiday.  No gifts, no decorations, just family and friends getting together and recognizing the gratitude we all have for eachother and for life.  My family always included a friend, cousin, or neighbor who had “no place” to go on Thanksgiving, and I still believe that is the true spirit of holidays.

I always write about this topic for my newsletter during this time of year, but the truth is I should and could write it every month. It’s a wonderful reminder for all of us to practice Giving Thanks all year round.

Start by Giving Thanks about what blessings you have enjoyed this year, and make time to appreciate yourself.  You can practice Giving Thanks out loud, on paper, with a friend, over the telephone, or alone. You can also practice Giving Thanks through service and helping others.  You could write out a traditional gratitude list, go on a gratitude walk, anything goes.  The energy of appreciation is definitely worth feeling and putting out into your world.

Someone asked me once: “What’s the point of Giving Thanks?” as if he wasn’t going to do it if it wouldn’t bring success into his life.  I highly recommend Giving Thanks no matter what!  If you’ve been receiving my newsletters for any length of time, you know how much I love expressing gratitude as a daily practice.

So, is there a “point” to Giving Thanks?  Yes! It feels good, it makes others feel good, when it’s genuine it can change lives.  Gratitude is an awesome focus and allows us to see what’s really going on in our lives, rather than being distracted by petty disturbances or annoyances.  The vibration of gratitude and Giving Thanks is so high, it will of course increase your ability to manifest what you want, (but that’s not really the point… remember?)
Most people don’t have many blocks to Giving Thanks – but if you have some, you can tap through your resistance and make it a priority today and every day!

I’m inviting you to practice Giving Thanks this week and next, this month and into the New Year for your own good and for the joy of others.  If you feel grateful to someone for something they’ve said or done, let them know. It is such a gift!

Giving Thanks will help you get back into alignment and feel blessed in so many ways (so many of you wrote me saying that you loved that newsletter last month!). It will make you more congruent with your goals.  It will improve every cell in your body.

So practice Giving Thanks, and appreciate the blessings you have received and notice the blessings that have showed up through friends and acquaintances in your life.

Our vibration matters!

Remember that the Universe hears your vibration not your words.  The principles of the Law of Attraction are very clear: you will receive more of what you are “broadcasting” to the Universe when you are in alignment with it.  When the Universe is able to receive a clear message from you (no energetic or emotional interference) then the Law of Attraction works in your favor.  So when you are ready and willing to practice Giving Thanks on a regular basis, the Universe will support you in new and surprising ways by opening up new channels of abundance.

Chin: “I choose to love Giving Thanks every day.
